Treehouses on the Edisto

The Edisto River is a destination itself. It's the longest free-flowing black water river in North America and it's dark waters are totally self-contained in South Carolina. One of the most unqiue experiences on the Edisto come with quite a view.

Carolina Heritage Outfitters
is located along the Edisto River Canoe & Kayak Trail and near both Givhans Ferry and Colleton State Parks. They do day canoe trips or overnight options that include a stay in one of their treehouses situated high above the Edisto. They are tucked away and blend in with their natural surroundings, and are privately accessed via canoe. With no electricity, you are guaranteed to connect with nature and whoever braved this adventure with you.
